About the Trampoline Home Page

History

In 1994, I searched the WWW for informations about trampolining. Finding nothing and having a server at hand, I got the idea to provide a little information myself. My idea was to inform people about this sports and promoting it this way. Meanwhile, this little idea grew to a big information server, which is used all over the world - although many further servers have shown up. This site is supported by the physical education department of the Technical University of Darmstadt/Germany and its primary goal still is to provide information about trampolining at German universities.

Thanks

Starting to set up these pages in 1994, I never expected such a big interest from the community. Originally, the pages had been designed as a small collection of informations for German students who perform trampolining at the universities. Especially the international interest was overwhelming and I couldn't imagine that the pages would ever grow to today's hugeness. Looking back, I am really glad that I started the project, which still, as all the time, makes a lot of fun (beyond all the work with it).

The huge pool of information available now could only be reached with the active help of a lot of bouncers. My special thanks go to Ralf Gehrke, Martin Kubicka, and Ralf Thurm. Since the very beginning they continuously provided me with topical information. Without mentioning all their names, I am also grateful to all other readers that provided me with information. Finally, it should be mentioned that the nice separator line found on all these pages has been designed by Beate Fuhrmann.

All bilingual pages are generated automatically from a common source. N. Thiéry's Perl program htmlpp is being employed for this purpose (http://www.eleves.ens.fr:8080/home/nthiery/htmlpp/).
